Bolivia will import 500 natural gas vehicles (NGV) from China to strengthen the change in the energy matrix and renew the transportation fleet.
A commission of Bolivia's National Confederation of Drivers will travel to China in March to assess the models and reach an agreement with Chinese entrepreneurs, noted executive secretary of the union, Franklin Duran.
The microbuses proposed by a Chinese company have a capacity for 50 people with 29 passengers seated.
Duran underlined that the comission will verify the technical conditions of the vehicles, given that Bolivian cities are characterized by their hills and vehicles must have sufficient engine power to operate.
